About FPK After Dark
Long story short, After Dark is a four-hour musical journey through space and time, pushing the boundaries of what exists and what may exist in the metaverse. Long story long, it’s a nightly show on 91.9 WFPK in Louisville. On After Dark, you’ll hear host Sean Cannon play everything from REM to Refused to Ramones to Rakim to Ryan Adams — plus some acts that don’t start with R. It airs Monday through Thursday, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. ET. Oh yeah, and it’s co-produced by Sean and the inimitable, Pearl Jam-loving Kyle Meredith. Kyle is the Laurel to Sean’s Hardy, the John to his Garfield, the Corey to his Corey, the Liza Minnelli to his David Gest.

Nestled within After Dark are various regular features that shock and amaze — or at least they entertain from time to time. Speaking of which, the crown jewel of After Dark is the 10 p.m. hour, which features a guest every night. We’re talking musicians, actors, comedians, authors and other notable folks. They sit in, talk shop and spin some tracks for your edification. You’ll also find those interviews living online right here. So poke around a little. Just don’t poke too hard. You might break something.

About the Host
Wandering out of the foothills of the Appalachians, Sean Cannon got his start in the music world thanks to the Web. Over the years, he’s written plenty of headlines — and made a few of his own — while at the helm of Buzzgrinder.com. He also helped build AOL’s Noisecreep.com into the largest heavy music site on the internet. Additionally, he’s spent plenty of time as a show promoter, boxer of rock stars, newspaper man, graphic designer and food eater, in addition to many other saintly endeavors. Right now, he’s just trying not to burn the radio station down at night.
